So yeah new LP is out and shipping and streaming and is in a few stores in a few places. Its a weird album about being sad and Im happy its out there in the world, please check it out if you havent already.

Summer has me playing a ton of backyards and fall has me playing a ton of bars. It never ends I guess. I did get hit by a truck in May and that has made it harder to do the splits but the show goes on.

Hope summer is treating you well, Ive been camping and saw Weird Al so all good here really.

Hello all, got all the summer tourdates up as well as some big news expect the new album out sometime late June. Called ” I dont know who needs to hear this right now, but they are never going to come back and you will die alone” will be streaming as well as out on vinyl, cd and cassette. Expect some videos and singles to come in May and June. Its 16 tracks of pure sadness so buckle up.

Its 2026 !! Which is going to be a lot like 2025 I think. Got a bunch of tour dates up, the new album is recorded and being mixed and mastered and should be out eventually and Im sitting in a cold house wishing I was warm. The Patreon is still up and has some content you csant find anywhere else if you feel like giving me 4.20 a month. Aside from that Im just taking baths and watching Rockford Files until the shows start again in March

Just stuck here in a blizzard again. Not much to report really, been slowly writing songs for a new record but maybe about halfway there at this point. Ham Jam Season 2 got pushed back by Fibe and its looking like a March release now. Beyond that playing lots of shows so check the website for dates near you, as well backyard bookings are starting to fill up some so get at me if you want a BA show in your yard.

Got a ton of tourdates on the go,going all parts East as well as Ontario and Montreal. Be nice to go back to Quebec City at some point. Also got the UK in Nov for all 6 of my fans out that way. Ive been slowly working on new songs but havent had much time for it, too busy getting sun burnt at the beach. Got Ham Jam supposedly out this fall so look for that, but Ive been saying that forever. It does look promising tho. Otherwise see you guys on the road at a cruddy bar near you

Not a ton to report in Ol’ BA Johnston land these days, been very very slowly writing new songs, as well as mostly just playing a ton of shows. We got AB in April as well as all points west in June and then Maritimes in Sept and UK in Nov. Plus of course backyards from Grimsby to Brighton all summer as well as a few festivals (Mariposa, Peterborough Folk Fest, Forest Echos, Turbo Fest).

Ham Jam Season 2 is done filming and is slowly being polished for Bell Fibe, so check that out, so be on the look out for that.

Another winter in Mothers Airbnb. So cold, so very cold. Not a ton to report here. Ham Jam Season 2 is done, but not sure when it is gonna be released. Hopefully sooner than later. Basically got some winter tourdates up, doing some festivals as well as short week rip out west in Feb. Then March and April Im back on the roads doing Ontario and Montreal and MB and AB before heading back out to the coast and all points between in June. Havent been doing a ton of song writing due to my life being crazy, but hopeing to start writing the new record soon and then record it in late 2024. God that sounds like far in the future but its not.

Got new tourdates up fora ton of fall shows in ONT, NB, NS and QC, as well as the UK and Wales. Dont call Wales the UK, when in Wales, someone remind me. As well I got Ham Jam Season 2 out by Chrstmas so look for that. Until then Im swimming in cutoffs.

Its 30 degrees and Im about to play a street fair and Im wondering if i need to wear 5 sweaters. A little voice is telling me I probably do. Which is unfortunate. Not much to report, ARGOS SUCK has been released to the world and in the fall I will be back touring Ontario and the Maritimes as well as the UK, so look for the dates to come up. Ham Jam Season 2 should be out soon and beyond that Im just playing backyards and going to the beach,
